Pros

"can use glass mixing bowls again without thr clattering jarring sound of metal on glass" includes 2 scraper beaters, 2 balloon whisks, and 2 dough hooks. Snaps into place on top of its beater container, making it a handy carrying case.

The plug alone is to die for! The high speed whisks make great meringues. It also has a light on it like most modern cordless drills have.

Using, cleaning, and storing this gadget is a no-brainer. Attachments store neatly in the compartment that attaches to the underside.

The mixer itself is wonderful and it has been a stable workhorse. It is powerful enough to knead dough, which is what i most use it for. Among kitchen appliances, this mixer is the best i've tried.

This product exceeds my expectations. It is the second breville product i have purchased and it doesn't disappoint. A new, whole box should be taped as well.

Cons

The beaters are awful! On the breville mixer all the attachments wobble as it spins. The motor boggs down when mixing anything thick like frosting. It's really disappointing - if i'm dropping $150 on a beater i expect something i can actually use that... Read More

Batter splattered everywhere in the kitchen, including on the floor. Mashing potatoes takes forever and due to lack of power they stay lumpy.

The mixer is a bit more powerful than the $25 version i could get off any store shelf, but it is by no means worth the hassle of an additional $125. There are a ton of other mixers on the market, and i would expect any of them to last longer than 18 m... Read More

I have had it now for just over 6 months and the scraper parts of the beater have torn and ripped apart.

The silicon on the beaters shredded within two months.

I’ve always bought inexpensive handmixers i took a chance on this one i was pleasantly surprised it’s worth the money

Don’t let the price dissuade you - just buy it.

Then, the replacement beaters are about $22.

Too late to return the mixer, but amazon customer service made it very easy to be in touch with breville who provided a new set of mixers.
