Pros
It works so much better than the original toasted sandwich maker which was a nightmare to clean. Makes 2 full loaf sized toasties or 2 supermarket sized panini sandwiches. Ideal for toasted sandwiches or paninis.
The plates are very easy to clean, but we've scratched ours a little. Lockable lid makes it easy to store. Easy to clean (i just wipe down with a damp cloth).
The machine has been used at least weekly for the last 18 years and in the past 5 years abused pretty much daily by 3 hungry teenagers. Its also very stylish and looks good on my kitchen counter.
Cons
Plates are curved so would not take halved ciabatta or panini easily. Floating hinge has no setting/stop lever so the lid just squashes whatever you're cooking. Plus the lock is very flimsy and does not keep shut resulting in the machine crashing down... Read More
Disappointed is an understatement. It’s a pretty meh press. This version is awful and i now loathe using it.
