Nothing ever bakes on or requires scrubbing

For light usage it is fine but if you have a heavy usage watch for the brackets that hold the top plate

After grilling vegetables noted above presoaking for 2 minutes then hand washing with a soapy sponge took 10 minutes for the bottom grill plate and 15 minutes for the top grill plate but that one required use of nylon scrubber and some hard work
