Pros & Cons
Pros
The machine is ready to produce in about 3-4 seconds from powering on. It creates the creamiest foam that adds a touch of luxury to my morning latte. It makes americanos, some cappuccinos, and the occasional mocha. Comes with a device to unclog the fr... Read More
The espresso it brews is rich and flavorful. Its sleek design is a sight to behold.
Easy-to-use interface makes brewing a perfect cup of espresso a breeze. Even a coffee novice like me can handle it with ease. The only shortcoming of this coffee maker is the portafilter doesn't have a restraint on it, so when you use a knock box, the... Read More
If you are looking for a super user friendly experience that doesn't take up a ton of counter space and you don’t care about all the granular details in coffee making, this is the machine for you! Overall, this espresso machine is a modern brewing won... Read More
The compact size is another bonus. I wish it was a tiny bit taller so it could accommodate a wider variety of cups. The stainless steel finish gives a modern touch to my kitchen.
Cons
This is not an amazon return but a breville refurbished (so they say) machine and after about 20 cups it failed. The colors are cheap coating on * plastic. The consistency of the espresso pulls are all over the place.
Customer service is unreachable. This is the first problem i have ever had with amazon. Contacting customer support in nothing but frustrating. Google reveals customer service is a serious problem.
The fact that they are censoring my honest reviews on their site makes me so disappointed in them. Not worth the hassle or so called savings. Online feedback not good either. What a disappointment.
Breville has a support line and chat function on their website but neither are functional. A recording tells you they have reached capacity and to call back later then hangs up. We get an automated response on the phone saying they are experiencing “u... Read More
Sharp pin cover comes off really easily when you are unscrewing the wand tip. No device to unscrew the steam wand.

The machine purges the frother after each use, and the drip tray gets filled with diluted milk.
Coffee quality and grind matter a lot.
Price
Mine was $12 and it works so much better than the original.
While pricey, it produces excellent results with both the shot extraction and the milk texturing.
It's more than paid for itself by now.
And it was more than worth it.
Shipping
Breville was willing but slow in responses to on-line help queries.
Packaging/appearance
My bambino plus was a christmas gift and paired with a baratza encore grinder.
Competitiveness
I have two other breville espresso machines, the express and the barista pro, which have both been very good.
The bambino plus wand provides steam equal to much more expensive machines and does it virtually instantly.
I'm only comparing it with what i would get from starbucks.
The lattes taste much better than what starbucks and other coffee shops have to offer.
