Beware that you do have a water filter in the water reservior tank that should be changed every 3 months.

The fact that the coffee maker and bean grinder are separate mechanisms does take up more room but the separate grinder does seem to have better controls and grind options than the grinder incorporated in other machines even brevilles other combo models

I just put the coffee grinder in another location to give me more room for the main machine

The access to adding the water into the reservoir via a lid mechanism is very convenient but the filter mechanism has to be replaced by removing the reservoir from the back of the machine

The breville instructions where mostly very easy to use but i did have to reread them several times during the setup to understand why things were done in a certain order
