Pros & Cons

Pros

The breville thermal pro clad 3-1/2 quart covered saute pan in stainless steel is a winner. This saute pan is by far the heaviest of the lot, after allowing for size variations. The price tag is also hefty, on par with all clad and perhaps some other ...  Read More

This pan is made with tri-ply aluminium and stainless steel and can be used on an induction burner.

The big takeaway for me is its weight. The weight seems balanced in the very durable, tri-play bottom, so it sits securely on the burner. The handle is sturdy and put on well, it thickens towards the middle for a sturdier grip.

I have some concern that they'll come off or fade with scrubbing. The pan is oven (up to 500 f) & dishwasher safe.

Bought this to make dishes like chicken marsala and pork lombardi. Perfect for sautéing or frying. Only thing is it's heavy, need to use the second handle if you are pouring out of it into a serving dish.

Quality

Unfortunately, that heavy bottom coupled with the basically oval handle shape makes it impossible to tilt the full pan to scoop...  Read More

I find lifting and pouring far, far easier with the lighter calphalon, simply because i've got a second handle for maneuvering.

Price

It is beautiful, and the price was totally reasonable.

Competitiveness

I would recommend this pan to anyone who is shopping for a high-quality, heavy-duty stainless steel saute pan.

This is a large, high-quality pan that heats evenly and has considerable capacity.

I've tried all-clad, and it's bulletproof but i absolutely hate the handles.
