Pros & Cons
Pros
It's heavy, uses less water and oil, and cooks evenly. Should outlive most of my other cookware. One minor complaint is that the top does get hot so i have to use an oven mit.
The large size makes enough spaghetti for my family of 7 (all adults) the size excellent for family of 5. If i'm filling containers with chili, (i always plan to have leftovers) i know what size to use.
The speed and rate at which this pot heats and cooks water surpasses that of my gas stove. This is perfect for the smaller burner on our electric coil burner cooktop. This pan heats up quickly and holds its heat well.
Heavy duty and high quality. They are a bit heavy, but i appreciate that. I have a few of their other electric items, which are all very good quality.
The lid fits snugly down on the pot, helping to avoid boil-overs. The lid has about 1/16 of movable play in all directions. The curve top keeps it from boiling over.
Highlights
Quality
The quality and finish is first class.
All in all, great quality product, i can recommend it and give it 5-stars.
I already knew about breville’s superior quality because i own a breville juicer.
And with the tapered edge, it's not the friendliest to the edge grip technique when hand-washing.
Price
This way i can justify the price when i make a box of macaroni and cheese.
So this is where the price comes in as i dont feel they cut any corners.
But handle gets hot, common fo the price you can fix that issue.
Packaging/appearance
It heats up evenly and nothing has stuck or burnt onto the bottom.
It has laser engraved graduation marks on the inside of the pot for quickly measuring the contents.
This lovely breville 2 quart saucepan has packaging that makes it look like it came from a scientific lab.
Competitiveness
I was looking for a stainless steel pot and this fit my needs right as i was looking for something smaller than my 8qt stock po... Read More
I have an all-clad 4 quart pot, which is supreme.
I have the 2qt and 3qt sauce pan.
This one is faster than chantel but slower than all-clad.
