The right hand side will be used more so will probably fail eventually but the left hand side would still be useable but not because of this silly design

We tend to read left to right so it seems strange to have to use the right hand pair first if only tow slices being toasted but hey ho

Works fine as long as you turn the bread on its side otherwise the very top of the bread doesn’t get toasted
