Pros & Cons

Pros

It's a classic briggs and riley with the sturdiness you’d expect. It's lightweight, incredibly easy to roll and maneuver, expandable and looks good.

The ability to expand and compress is unlike any other. The expansion system keeps it from tipping but then it doesn't glide as easily.

Cons

Luggage is very unstable. The front wheels are off-set from the edge of the front of the luggage so it is front heavy and will always fall over when just standing on four wheels. It rolls sideways.

Well-made with some clever features and all durable materials.

I had thought this was designed for long term use, but on my way back from london the wheel just came off.

On the second use, the wheels started to squeak!

Price

Although pricey, b & r make a great travel bag.

For the price paid this should not happen.

A little expensive but worth the long term investment.

Fee is like $200 1 way, so it adds up.

Shipping

I have owned the two-wheel 22" carry-on for about 6 months and used it with a garment bag for the australia trip.

Packaging/appearance

I first thought it's the way i packed, then i realized it's more likely the design and not me: the front wheels are smaller tha...  Read More

I have packed the the medium luggage to exact 50 lbs (expanded), so unless you have higher luggage allowance (with airline cred...  Read More

Competitiveness

We have a number of these suitcases from briggs and riley.

Other stingy airlines, which profit from bag fees will agree.

Briggs and riley do make excellent luggage and this is no exception.
