Pros & Cons
Pros
The cx compression system really is a charm. The packing system is very effective, although i can fit so much stuff in that at airports like vienna, they weigh all business class luggage and insist on >8 kg going into the hold, this can be a disadv... Read More
High quality, durable, and light weight. Still my go to back now after 25 years of travel and flying.
The ability to expand and compress is unlike any other.
Cons
On my first trip the bag was snagged. Bag constantly pulls to side when walking. Not positioned correctly, the bag falls over 100% of the time when packed.
The 'front' (on the expandable side) are smaller than the rear wheels. This causes a few problems:1) the small wheels roll at a different resistance so. Luggage never rolls straight.

I have packed the the medium luggage to exact 50 lbs (expanded), so unless you have higher luggage allowance (with airline cred... Read More
Competitiveness
I'm a corporate pilot and regularly pack for trips 3-5 days in length.
The first was a carry on, which i have used for a two years and 150,000 miles or so.

The expansion mechanism is not a tight fit so even though the individual parts of the mechanism look sturdy the whole thing feels flimsy

The cloth material on the outside is decent with a good heft to it but the plastic used on the edges and in the handles is very low quality for the applicationprice and will scratch extremely easily even if youre not a frequent traveler
