There is also a setting (on) that overrides the timer function. Bought this to turn off a uv sterilizer lamp. I use this to ensure i my coffee-cup warming plate doesn't stay on at work.

Cons

Device looks to be very cheaply made. Expected more from brinks brand name. Very disappointing. Other reviews are this product is just junk.
