Best fit, my grandson is thrilled with this swimsuit. Short inseam is not at all inappropriate or too short. My son has sensory issues and chafes terribly at our three (atlantic ocean) beach trips.
The trunks are exactly as described. The pineapple pattern is super fun! The palm tree avocado print is super cute. These are really cute swim trunks!
The bony fish pattern is fun to play with. All seams are in perfect shape. No seam problems.

He hates the mesh briefs that many suits have and also hates wearing cotton boxer briefs under his suits because they stay wet too long
