Pros

This system filters the water as you pour. The unit is very easy to clean and refill. Yes, it pours a little slower, but not to a bothersome degree.

It fits perfectly in the fridge. The only downside and this is against an expectation i put on it that maybe is unrealistic.

Water is tasteless as it should be. Funky chlorine odor and taste are completely removed from tap water. Facet water tastes great.

These filters are reasonably priced compared to others. The filters are easy to install and last longer than i expected. If you have a large family, you might have to change it more often.

Cons

My city draws water from a local river and has a musty muddy taste/smell. It pours so slowly that it is practically useless.

Brita filter on this pitcher not even as good as the 18-month-old filters on our old refrigerator. I believe the filter gauge has never worked. I trashed it after the filter ran out and bought the traditional brita, it's so much better and it doesn't ... Read More

We then dumped the ice and water from our ice maker and filled it with the water from the pitcher.

Packaging/appearance

The lid leaks and the little piece of plastic that holds the top flip in place breaks easily and at that point you need to buy another one.

It pours very easily out of the spout; therefore, when i lift it out of the refrigerator when full i tend to spill the water.

Because i prefer cold water, i put it in the fridge awhile before pouring a glass.
