Pros

The first half fills quick and the rest fills a little slower but still good speed for a filter. Black particles are from the activated carbon to absorb containments- which is harmless. The water taste really good after being filtered.

Size fits well in my fridge and not heavy.

This was purchased for my 88 year old mother. Bought this for traveling. I love the red, it's bright and fun.

Cons

It's pretty tricky to clean. Almost impossible to reseat lid after filling. Entire lid needs to be removed. It isn't the kind where you can flip up a portion of the lid to refill it.

Ideal drinking water is 0 ppm to 49 ppm. Hard water at 100 ppm to 199 ppm, then it's marginally acceptable at 200 ppm to 399 ppm. Water bypasses the filter.

It didn’t and the filter empty charcoal grit all my water and it lasted for 1 year and the change filter light never came on.

It’s a little small but worth the price

Much cheaper than bottled water if you drink lots of water daily.

Shipping

Return policy is unfortunate as so many amazon shipped products do not ask that you repacked items.

Packaging/appearance

I didn't keep the box, don't have one this size, and will not pay for a box to return a product that does not function.

Hopefully those of you ordering will have better luck in terms of packaging!
