The lid stays closed, it's faster to refill! The lid goes well with the filter included.

Save your self much time and frustration and purchase a different model. Kind of a dud. The packaging is different, showing the older style filters.
I'm amazed that someone got paid to design this. Merchandise picker needs to pay attention.

You had overfilled it then pitcher lid could come off and water everywhere i usually held the lid but sometimes forgot
