Pros

Water from this brita pitcher/ filter system tastes great. This pitcher gives you water that tastes like your well water should taste. I also like that it has the little flap over the pour spout.

Filter indicator works, handle solid color (not clear) so doesn't fog up. It really does make a difference in how our water tastes - we have town water and old house pipes. Only complaint is that you do have to wait a long time when filling it.

Cons

Unfiltered water sips out and spoils filtered water. Flip-up pour spout lid often sticks, causing water to get all over the table.

It's not uncommon to fill it up, then have water slosh around in the top part and spill water through the top of the pitcher into the inside of my fridge as i'm putting it away. The rim around the filling compartment is not deep enough to securely hol... Read More

Competitiveness

I have tried a few different designs by brita and this one by far is the best design.

Definitely more economical than bottled water & a better price than any traditional or box store.
