As for the seat itself we have only had it a couple of days and i’m not a fan of the gen2 redesign so far

For background i have very long very thin babies so the seat being “roomier” in the redesign actually seems to have made my baby less comfortable

I love that the fabric is machine washable and is smoothsoft to the touch but it is much thinnerless cushiony than what was in my prior seat

This was an issue for us since our baby doesn’t have much of his own natural padding and you can really feel the hard plastic shell of the seat and it seemed to be very uncomfortable

I’m not sure if my baby’s issue is that it isn’t as cushiony or if there is more room so he doesn’t feel as snuggled but he cries in this seat and doesn’tdidn’t in the other

I have also had a difficult time getting a good fit with the straps

The infant insert seems to be too much but if i take it out it’s not enough

I plan to call britax again today to see if they have any suggestions in regards to getting a better fit
