Overall this thing feels like a tank and that's why we love it! My only complaint is that it doesn't recline as much as most other seats, so you may need to use a foam pool noodle.
This car seat fits my son perfectly. It truly grows with your child with several adjustments for rear and front facing or if you just need to address the headrest.

But of coarse these 2 times a month would be for 3 hour car rides so i wanted to make sure the kids were comfortable
