The base that the car seats connects too is a hazard. That part is like foam. Once she is out of the seat you can jiggle it a little and it will release but not while her 9lb weight is in the seat.

This carseat was so easy to install and seems very sturdy and comfortable for my baby.

Babies can be messy, and having the ability to easily remove and clean these essential components is a huge help.

The toddler seat attachment does not double as a car seat and is not made to withstand an accident.
