Quality

Works great, keeps fog out and fan is sufficiently strong.

Easy to install, replaced original ceiling fan.

The fuse blow and is not replaceable.

The fan blades are plastic and the heat bulb will melt/warp them, requiring adjustment or replacement.

Price

Great on price vs other local stores which most were not even carrying in store or were on back order.

Easy to install and quiet for the cost.

And the price was right, i was looking at buying just the motor alone and it was going to cost $30 more than everything.

A little noisy but great value for the price.

Packaging/appearance

And could not use the metal box and light because it was dented.

Old box had porcelain type socket for the bulb, the new one some kind of plastic (again i feel is a downgrade).

My only 2 small issues were 1) the wiring box is on the same side of the box as the exhaust connection.

Competitiveness

I found out that the model162 (the sticker inside says 162-m), is basically the same as the 9417dn-r02 that i had and the part ...  Read More

However i wanted to replace the white cover too and it turned out it was cheaper to buy this whole new fanlight and scavenge it for the two parts i needed

I did need to clean 30 years of dust out of the old housing but didnt have to get into the attic to replace the whole unit

Bought two model 162m to replace probably 30 years old ones162c and some other where i did not check the model

In terms of quality i think is a downgrade at least for the box and the ventilator cage the old ones were more hermetic than these ones and i had to use a lot of 3m aluminum foil to make them as air leak proof as the old ones

The electrical box external screw key 9 with part99150545 is placed in the wrong position instead of being near the floor of the attic it should be near the top of the boxas mounted

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had to use a magnetic 14 socket and a long screw to properly drive it while sitting in a very weird position given that i had like 2 feet of space there

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It would be much easier to screw the electrical box back while doing it in the attic if the leg of the box and the screw positions were swapped

Old box had porcelain type socket for the bulb the new one some kind of plastic again i feel is a downgrade
