Pros
The fan is mounted on half inch plywood which is * into the stud wall. It's very easy to install between the studs of existing vent opening. The exhaust outlet is high on our roof but above our kitchen door.

This fan is awesome. This thing is pretty fantastic (fan-tastic, get it? Actually a very efficient and dependable fan. Great solid fan and very dependable.
Cons
Problem is excessive noise and vibration. It is very loud and can be heard outdoors and even two floors down.
The adjustable thermostat unit was completely burned. Perhaps they are worried about light gage wire being used. This is a serious design issue and there is nothing in the instructions warning about it.
Fan bent to the point where the motor could have been damaged. Shroud is bent again - but not so much this time. Seems like the fans out of balance or there is excessive runout.

Otherwise the attic fan does the job of keeping the temp in the attic down thus keeping the inside room temp below the 80degree setting on my ac thermostat

Its very important to wear gloves when handling this obviously foreign cut fan shroud as its dangerously sharp and left me seriously cut and bleeding
