Pros
I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who has a similar need. Great replacement piece. Overall great product.
The spring loaded flapper provides a tight seal when not in use. Better than the flimsy aluminum kind. Very durable materials.
The 639 broan wall cap is ideal for through the wall venting of over range microwaves. This wall cap is excellent for venting through the gable rather than the roof. The vent is a little smaller than i was expecting.
Cons
It’s not easy to install and pricy. The vendor wants a 20% restock fee and for me to pay the postage so returning it isn't worth while.

Product is solidly made and is easy to install.
Heavy duty materials, welded seams, pre-drilled mounting holes.
This flap does not rattle with air flow and shuts quietly when u shut fan off.
The original one turned out to be one for an rv, very restrictive air flow.

Plus i got it for a great price where other stores were selling it more also double online.
Shipping
Time from order to in hand delivery was super.
The broan 639 wall cap was as advertised and arrived at prime speed although i am not a prime subscriber.

Competitiveness
I'm thinking due to the after effects of the pandemic i wasn't able to find this at most hardware stores.
Now if i can find a better fan or faster motor i believe i'll get 100% more sucking power.

Item looks good however one of the corners where the screw hole is was bent 90 degrees

Luckily it’s a flexible metal so i was able to straighten it out with pliers

The horizontal dimension of the duct on this is actually about 10

It seemed to match my measurement of the old cap and it fit easily into my old existing duct but the flanges are wider than the old model and larger than the gap in the siding so i will have to do some work there to get it all the way in

The original unit needed replaced as it was quite rusted although it was still functional
