Pros
It's not silent, but it's much quieter than the fan it replaced. Not noticeable with any background noise at all. Not whisper quite but not bad at 1 scone.
The fan is larger then most builder grade so you need more space above ceiling and in the cut out. Less than an hour to take out the old fan and install this one. Installed 2 of these.
Cons
It only has two points to secure it. Nothing to keep it from sagging. What a disappointment. Don't risk purchasing this and having the same problem.
Very noisy. The box on the fans says 0. It is also noisy even though the box says 1.
The quality of the exhaust fans and the primary cost driver is the noise produced by the fans. These fans are loud, nothing like advertised online. Try the delta breeze models instead.
The fan has no connection bars that would support the fan from the adjacent truss/joist. It's not exactly light as a feather, and it seems to me a cantilever design places needless stress on the side attached to the joist. The picture on amazon page s... Read More

The cover increased the sound level a lot.
The tech told me the brand new broan exhaust fan was a canadian model 5 years old and discontinued; therefore, no warranty.
Price
It is literally the best fan, particularly price.
Competitiveness
The only reason i purchased this brand over a panasonic is cause the ducting goes out of the right side vs panasonic is on the left.
Decided to purchase the broan ae 110 after reading reviews on other similar models.
I do wish that broan had taken just a bit more time to deal with the slight rattle this these make.
