Pros
The exhaust fan is quiet and effective. It removes steam and smells from the gas range. The fan is loud but they all are in my opinion. It does a great job at clearing the steam and smelling out.
The led lighting is excellent. The variety of speeds is excellent and the led light effectively illuminates the cooking area. Lights up our stove really well.
Replacement for a circa 1980s nutone non-ducted model. This hood is the fan is quiet, and does a great job of pulling odors and smoke outside. The whole cooking surface is brightly lit by the led lights.
Easy to install diy. Took 2 people to install. Comes with brackets to allow a one man installation.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Decent quality. Service for this item is great. Very knowledgeable and fast to respond.
Cons
It appears that the plastic that surrounds the styrofoam to keep it in place in the box is discoloring the finish. First one was significantly dented upon rceipt.

Arrived fast and easy to install, it needs the 7" vent pipe to work properly.
Packaging/appearance
Bought from amazon warehouse, they said the box was slightly damaged but i didnt even see any damage on the box.
But the screens were damaged and the box wasn't.
Competitiveness
Purchased thinking i would return but it was significantly cheaper than similar items and tried it.
After careful comparisons of the specs, i decided on this particular broan model and i am thrilled with the results.
I am thrilled with the fact that my careful comparison on the specs really paid off.

Its attractive the light is nice and bright and the fan noise is nearly inaudible
