Initially installed in recirculating mode. Matches my electrolux wavetouch beautifully. These filters are dishwasher safe, so they are easy to maintain.
The unit is very silent and powerful. It has 4 levels, 1 and 2 are good for simmering and pretty quiet. It is very quiet and was easy to install.
This is a good quality (as long as it is vented) high volume hood that is relatively quiet.

I was also concerned to learn that consume reports does not recommend any exhaust hood that automatically turns the fan on to the highest speed if it detects a fire on the stove fire sucked thru oily filters

The low setting is whisper quiet

We particularly like the delay feature touch a button when the fan is on and it will continue until the air is cleared then turn itself off automatically
