It also makes a weird noise slight flapping noise, and that is probably why it was returned. Trouble with installation-- because there was no instructions. Go to google or youtube--- no videos, no support. It is the opposite tho, it is ultra noisy.

For ease of install its wired into the same power as light and i dont mind that it comes on at the same time, with it being so quiet
The electrician said it was due to being incorrectly attached to the duct and the poor fitting caused stress on the motor.
There were two exhaust fans that were loud but ineffective.

I bought a factory refurb for a fraction of the regular price and have 0 regrets.
Well worth the money so if you need one stop searching and buy it now

I also had to make a mitered poly trim pieces that covered up the outside corners as i was filling a prior vent hole of 1234 x 1234

This fan unit covered everything except 1434 on the very outside corner
