Replacement units retail for more than $100. Replacing the motor is much easier and less expensive than replacing the entire unit. I have another fan in our upstairs bathroom that needs to be replaced, so if it is the same as the one i just replaced i... Read More
We love the way this one sounds and could'nt be happier. It's like a room fan on low. Low noise and solid air movement. Very quiet, high rpm.
This one fit work but required some modification to shorten shaft. Good quality. Fits like a glove.
Easy install. Very reasonably priced.
This motor is an exact replacement for the original. Reused original fan. Appears to be very good build quality. It fits in place of the old one.
Cons
Mechanically the new part is a drop in replacement. There is a small force on each wire during operation that could cause vibration and fatigue, causing breakage of the wire.
Highlights
Quality
Fits well for the product and works well
Bigger and better than the motor that came with the old fan
There are two big differences from the original motor: an addition of a capacitor and the amperage.
Competitiveness
I needed a replacement motor for a nutone bathroom exhaust fan.
We used this motor to replace a broan 99080345k.
Talked to broan customer service to confirm this part would work with what we have, it does and it was cheaper here!
