Pros & Cons
Pros
Those have more cushion and feel sturdier than the trace. The trace has a more snug fit and feel. Opted for these as a cheaper alternative.
Brooks shoes never disappoint! The back is firm enough to slide into the shoe without untying. No blistering or discomfort in any way.
They fit nice on 9. Fits great for 10. Fantastic quality, comfort, and fit. Thank you brooks shoe got lots of compliments on them. They are fantastic.
This shoe is currently in rotation for me for running and strength training. Good traction, good cushioning and good ankle and arch support. I find these to be very comfortable when i walk up to two miles even on slightly irregular ground.
Cons
Many reviews of the sides ripping and “blowing out’ in 2-3 months. The inside heel has a major design and quality flaw. The fabric is very thin.
Great shoes but probably received a defective pair. I'm about to give up and just wear my ariat hikers all the time.
Highlights
Quality
He’s had these for almost a year and wears them everywhere and he says they’re extremely supportive but also durable!
One of the best shoes i have ever worn, makes walking long distances fun without pressure on the foot, will order another design.
Their usual flat slippery laces are constantly coming undone and if you pull them tight, they cut into the top of your feet and cause pain.
Without breaking in i walked 27 miles in 3 days with zero discomfort.
Price
Great price for a real good shoe.
Great for daily use at half the cost of most shoes.
You could pay a lot more for this shoe.
Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but the support and comfort is worth it!
Competitiveness
From the moment i slipped them on i knew brooks would be the only brand of running/athletic shoes i’ll buy from now on.
I bought these as my second pair of brooks shoes.
I bought the same size i use for 2 other popular sneaker brands and fit perfect even though the website said to go a half size larger.
Unfortunately, my first pair of brooks is the ghost 15 which is superior in every way and for the price difference they should be.

The trace has a more snug fit and feel but the ghost has more miles on them so it may be normal stretching of the material
