This shoe has great arch support,as well as excellent cushioning so your knees don't suffer.
Worked 12hr, shifts as a nurse for many years and never had problems with my feet.
I have very high arches so for the average person the arch support in this shoe may be okay.
The outside of the shoe looks a bit large, but once you put them on they are obviously a narrow width and hug the feet.

From past experience with brooks walking shoes i knew they ran a litltle short si i ordered a 12 size larger

I have narrow feet with very low arches flat really and have usually need orthodics if walking long distances
