In linux most debian based distros it is likely compatible however there are some caveats in the products promotional pages so ensure your distro is suitable

Again in linux i found it isnt as easy task to set up the driver on distros earlier than the most recent kernels and your machine may be running an early kernel where i found on one platform this was problematic

My suggestion to brostrend is that they might ship the device not only with a driver for windows but also for linux because downloading the driver and installing it from their website proved somewhat complicated and this may be avoidable if the driver was baked into the device from the start
