Pros & Cons
Pros
The 2340 cv is a great coverstitch machine for the price. The accompanying manual is a bit complicated but youtube have brilliant videos of instructions. If you sew a lot and sew a lots of knits it's a good investment.
Thread the looper first- before threading the needles. Turn off the machine and lift the presser foot up to raise needles to highest point. To make garments look professional you really need a serger; coverstitch and blind hem stitch, besides your sta... Read More
Threading is easier than a serger i thought. Removing from the machine really isn't slow. And removing a row stitches isn't too hard.
Cons
The coverstitch sewing machine is a pain to use. There is no backstitch function to finish the stitches, which means they're likely to unravel and you can't cut the threads flush with the fabric.
I really want to like this machine, but it's quickly turning into the bad boyfriend you kick to the curb. Every other machine does that.
Highlights
Quality
Love the speed and easiness of threading the machine.
This machine stitches a professional hem and pretty easy to use.

It took me about 10 minutes to thread the machine and test stitch a piece of fabric.
Price
For the price, i think this is a great machine.
At that time i bought the brother 1034d serger from amazon and was surprised at what a great job it did for the low price.
I only used it 3 times in 6 months and for $750 i just wasn’t happy with it.
I even was 'hemming and hawing' over this machine's cost, thinking that it only sews hems.
Shipping
I received this machine a little over a week ago.
I received this machine today, and unboxed it this evening.
Packaging/appearance
It sewed beautifully right out of the box.
The machine came well packaged and worked right out of the box.
Competitiveness
I use singer, sailrite and brother and brother machines are the easiest.
I chose this machine because of the price, my experience with brother machines, and because of reviews.
I talked with owners of other brands of coverstitch machines and they have similar processes to go through removing the fabric,... Read More
And the best part is this is hundreds cheaper than the juki.
