Brother scanner does not appear to be fully compatible with big sur. Brother website is obtuse regarding the drivers and the information is not clearly displayed regarding compatibility.

What a disappointment. Color me wrong. This is ridiculous. But was lacking the brains to add in the labor for two tech calls.

This is one time i'm thinking brother cheaped out. I'm sure their finance dept thought it was a wise move to save $2. This scanner is not a time saver and is very expensive.

I had boxes and boxes of documents, receipts, and photos to scan.

Competitiveness

Epson requires an extra cost $350 control module for their cheaper scanners, fujitsu got so/so reviews so i fell back on brother.

My research came down to this ads-2700 machine and the 1600 fujitsu.

By the way, only the higher-end brothers say they can scan directly to printers, but many networked printers have a ftp server built in.
