Pros

This is a big step up from my older more expensive hp printer. The ink is cheaper, and the interface actually works. Performs well. It’s also cheaper ink and cheaper printer than an hp.

The printer works well with different types of paper configured for each tray and automatically pulls from the correct tray. The only one downside is that if i have anything like cardstock, it does jam. With the two paper trays it is almost impossible... Read More

Cons

When chatting with brother support they advised me to contact an authorized repair center, there are no repair centers close to me. Our claim is with momo and we request a full refund for the printer.

The many hours lost are not excusable. Multiple contacts with service were met with complete indifference. It is not worth the frustration, headache, and loss of income.

I suspect that if you printed a single color pixel on 1800 pages, the printer would start telling you it's low on ink. It has so little native memory that it won't print a standard ten page pdf. Jams too easily also.

Brother's printer claims it's out of toner when it has 1800 color pages. The printer can't be used until the toner cartridge is replaced.

If you don'y keep removing the output as it prints on large jobs, the output pages go all over the floor.

The output tray only holds about 200 sheets.

Price

Love the laser color with reasonably priced toner.

This new brother printer has been wonderful and the price for printer and cartridges was a very pleasant surprise.

Switched from a xerox “free color printer” the cost of color cubes was outrageous!

This $600 machine does not offer any features other than printing.

Competitiveness

The print quality is fantastic - much better than the xerox phaser printers we've used the past few years.

This one is a big step up from my older more expensive hp printer.

There's lots of brands that i've owned that i have not liked.
