Pros

It is simple enough that a beginner sewer can start on without being overwhelmed. It has a qr on the front you can scan that will take you to different instruction videos. It can be used by a frequent sewer.

Easy to thread and the bobbin is drop-in. No tangling with full bobbin and the threader works great. I love having my needle threader back.

It works smoothly and has lots of fun stitches. Comes with add-on extended work surface, which i guess would be good for quilting. Sewing is a breeze.

This one is right up there with my viking that cost major bucks. Brother has better customer service and prices than other brands. I own a more expensive singer that has been in for warranty work twice and this, even though it's not as fancy works gre... Read More

Cons

It is not the foot controller it has to be something with the machine itself. It beeps an error and gives you the finger. It's still under warranty, but apparently there is no permanent fix for this problem.

This is my third sewing machine that crapped out. Brother’s claim of online support for the life of the sewing machine to is disingenuous. The top is flimsy, and after reading the negative reviews i am glad that i immediately returned it for a refund.... Read More

Those are just two of the irritating issues with this machine. I am disappointed and frustrated by both the money and time i've invested in a machine that didn't even make it two months. Short story, this machine is a piece of junk don't buy it!

Personally i think it's a good machine for the price

Love all the features for a great price.

Repairs will run close to the $200 paid for the machine, so now i’m replacing it with a new machine.

I still can't believe i got all these pressor feet and accessories for such a low price.
