Pros

Brother hc1850 is a classy girl! Easy machine and great for a beginner machine. Would think it would be good for the more advanced sewer too.

Cons

I feel lied to and deceived and brother support would not stand behind their product. As only had for 4 months, it is covered by warranty. Brother is a well respected company but our experience has not been so.

The ponte knits is very finicky about what thread you use. It breaks the thread very easily, especially cotton thread. Even with an oem walking foot, the reverse stitching is extremely slow. Can not sew denim.
