I am so happy with this machine does everything i need it to do easy to use and sturdy.
Broken needles, looped stitches and had to squash it under the foot.
Stitches through thick fabric like a hot knife through butter.
Shipping
Battled for 2 days and gave into other half insisting i deserved a new machine.
Ok well it arrived yesterday, unboxed it, read the threading instructions etc and set off with a piece of scrap.
Packaging/appearance
I also got her a box of the new brothreads to use with it and they seem like great threads too!
Competitiveness
I used for a lot of velcro and it worked just fine.
This brother machine compared quite high against other makes and so i bought it.
As she'd liked her trusty brother machine i figured it best to get her another by the brand.

Just before the 2 year warranty run out 2 the mechanism connecting the wheel on the right to the neddel shaft broke but this has happened to 3 sewing machines in a row various brands so i guess they are now made to last 2 years and we are supposed to buy a replacement afterwards

It is definitely not heavy duty but i can easily sew through layers of jeans or fleece
