My children do a lot of printing for school coursework, and this device is solid and reliable.
I wanted it to print my art prints and greetings cards and the quality is perfect for this.
I have mobility issues so this is a pain in the posterior as there does not appear to be a way to completely disable "deep sleep".

I originally bought this machine on 4 september 2019 at a cost of £190.
The current price is in line with what i would expect when you allow for inflation in the last 4 years.

As a photographer i would say you need a photo printer for that and not a document printer as the colour profiles are totally different and you wont get the same level of print quality trying to print rgb profile images with a cmyk document printer

There have been a number of firmware upgrades over time but i think what may amount to a policy decision by hp has proved extremely annoying

For the first 3 years the machine would go to sleep

For the last year after a firmware upgrade it goes into deep sleep regularly
