Pros

Bought the refurbished unit. Refurbished items sometime make me nervous, but this one came like new!

It just does its job and doesn't complain. The only complaint i have is it goes into deep sleep after only a couple of minutes. This was resolved by installing the actual brother printer drivers.

Reliability, size and thrifty operation. Scanners are oddly expensive at the moment though you can get a canon flatbed for under a hundred. It's easy to set-up, prints well, and i am so happy not to have deal with cartridges any more.

Wireless connectivity makes printing a breeze with chrome books and phones. Plug in, navigate to and select wps for the network and then press the wps button the router.

The print quality is unrivaled. The duplex print workes amazing and saves paper.

Cons

Printer jams up when printing on two sides of a page. Brother customer support is terrible. Not happy at all.

Overall, very impressed with the quality, performance, and ease of installation / use.

Since it’s a laserjet it’s pretty quick to print and the quality of the printed documents is excellent.

The product came basically new for a fraction of an actual new printer.

For the the laptops in the house and the phone, the wireless worked flawlessly by connecting with the router password.

Price

My color/copier is a brother and its been flawless for years and the refurb price was terrific so i decided to take the chance.

This printer is exactly what i needed at a great price.

You don't normally get all that for a low cost printer.

I've only had to do one print job this far, but it was fast and clear.

Competitiveness

So much nicer than an ink printer at a similar price.

So much better than a cheap inkjet.

I was iffy about buying a refurb printer but boy were my doubts squashed quickly.
