The downsides to this machine that i see are the smaller embroidery area and the fairly small throat

Once i learned how to split embroidery designs i didnt feel that the small embroidery area was too small

Of course it would always be nice to have a larger embroidery area but not worth the extra money just to save a step in splitting designs

If you arent making large quilts this will never be an issue
