What is happening is the rubber rollers are becoming coated and too slick

I have a mac and the setup is as follows 1 put printer on top of the lower tray 2 restart printer 3 delete old print driver in the print system settings 4 reinstall printer driver in the system settings

You have to set your printer to recognize the tray as legal size then your computer can recognize it

You may have to go into print properties and select tray 2 for it to print on legal as i had to do

I print a lot of pdfs and my tray 1 is set to print anything so when i need legal size i have to manually select tray 2 in my printer properties
