Pros

Mfc-j870-dw works well. Cleaning process is loud, but it seems to be very effectual. Totally satisfied with it.

The best feature is it does print on cds and dvds (buy blank inkjet printable media). The only thing i don't like is the paper tray so ill be using that feature too. Prints beautifully. It prints nicely and air print is awesome!

The ink cartridges (4) last a long time. Easy to replace the ink cartridges. Low cost of ink refills.

Cons

After about 10 minutes from restarting, an on-screen message of data waiting in memory. There is a problem with the driver software that is very annoying. Even brother tech support had no idea how to remedy it.

The printer is streaky and the cleaning function do not work. I am constantly either pulling the tray out to fix the paper jam or refilling the paper tray since it only holds 30 pages. It has a tendency to grab multiple pieces of paper, even after fan... Read More

This is a great printer, does it all if you follow directions, yes even fax detection on incoming calls.

If you set this printer up, put in the cartridges and never use it, it will still eventually run out of ink.

This printer scans, copies, prints, and even faxes (although i haven't been able to successfully send a fax yet).

Price

With refillable cartridge's, printing is very affordable and i have had no problems with the printer or the refillable cartridge's.

The compatible ink is cheap on amazon.
