Pros
The per-copy cost makes it the perfect work-horse b&w printer. Price is reasonable. Makes great copies.
We like that you can connect it with a printer cable, which is what we did as the wifi is spotty in that location.
Prints from mobile phones and tablets as well as laptop. Auto feed scanning is perfect for multi-page documents (scans in colour too). Connected via the ethernet - printing and manual scanning working very well. Ethernet.
Cons
The printer is logged off, offline, etc. Does not print straight on feeded paper and wrinkles standard envelopes. Even when paper is present in the bottom tray, printer complains that there is no paper in the top manual tray t1.
Trying to use this printer is very frustrating. Pretty disappointing. Regret my purchase.

$19 dollars for a 2 year warranty .
I ordered the cheap high capacity tn760 cartridges (about 2 for 40$) hopefully it won't mess up my new printer warranty.

It arrived on time, well-packed and the set-up went very smoothly.
Competitiveness
Major benefit is brother ink is more economical than other brands.
I really am surprised the competition doesn't follow their business model.

Used option to turn off the sound as the device otherwise plays a little tune every time i turn on my computer

Also oddly when i turn my computers on wifi on or switch the wifi connection the printer comes out of sleep mode whirs a bit and then go back to sleep
