The toner was replaced in december with a new brother toner. When i print on 24 lb paper, the the printer leaves marks on the page. Brother customer service blamed the third-party scanning software.

On a small homeschool business and we take care of a lot of traffic in and out with over 200 students… it works real well but you have to give it breaks in between… do not like the fact that you have to change the drum in it every certain amount of ink but i stayed with this product because i was used to it

Initially when replacing my old brother laser printer i initially thought about replacing it with just another brother laser printer and calling it a day

However after thinking about it for a while i decided i might as well get a mfc as i figured that would not only give me a backup scanner for my older flatbed scanner just in case and it would give me faxing capabilities if i ever needed it as well

I rarely ever have the need to fax but have had to from time to time and when i do its such a pain having to find one that i have to borrow

Where i used to put this chore off until i had a stack of documents i could no longer avoid they get done as they arrive now because its extremely easy

It wasnt a bonus i anticipated and frankly i dont understand why brother or amazon doesnt make a bigger deal about this feature in their advertisement
