Pros
It's quick and easy to set up the printer, as well as configure print settings on the laptop and phone. Only downside it takes time for wifi setup. Easy to pick up home wifi.
Cons
The printer is logged off, offline, etc. Takes a lot of fiddling around to print a page. After a couple months of use, this printer pops the main breaker for my office every time. Does not print straight on feeded paper and wrinkles standard envelopes... Read More

Easy to install , easy to setup wireless !
The set up very easy and quality of printing is good.
This unit can print double sided with no additional hardware!
I do not use it for fax, nor for sending colour photos, and never will.
Price
The per-copy cost makes it the perfect work-horse b&w printer.
I ordered the cheap high capacity tn760 cartridges (about 2 for 40$) hopefully it won't mess up my new printer warranty.
Overall a very good printer for the price.

Competitiveness
Major benefit is brother ink is more economical than other brands.
We've used similar models from brother before, and they've worked reasonably well.

Also oddly when i turn my computers on wifi on or switch the wifi connection the printer comes out of sleep mode whirs a bit and then go back to sleep
