Pros

The preferences screen is pretty intuitive and easy to use. It's easy to load and unload and functions very well. I also have the android app on my phone, and that works fairly well but not always perfect.

Brother hl-8260cdw is on their airprint list. The print quality is good. Colors are flawless. The duplexer work as advertised.

Low prices, cheap ink and toner and almost never jams or has print quality issues. Easy to install, easy to maintain, toners last a long time and saves money.

It's noticably slower when you print duplex but still pretty good. No streaks or any print issues. Troubleshooting led nowhere, but rebooting it manually seems to take care of it.


Cons

Brother's starter cartridges are page-limited, and once you pass the programmed limit (regardless of how much toner is in the cartridge), you will never be able to use the starter cartridge again. When there printer says low ink it will keep printing ...  Read More

    I received this printer and it is bigger than i anticipated but considering ive never owned a color laser printer before its not surprising that it is bigger than my old bw laser

    There was a problem with the duplex feature that i couldnt figure out so i used the customer service chat feature on the brother website and the person on the other end was fabulous

    Also for most anything other than regular paper it prompts you to use the bypass tray which is inconvenient and once when i put several sheets of coverstock in the bypass tray it drew in more than one and jammed which was a pain and messy so now i have to stand there and put one in at a time and if the next sheet is not immediately ready the machine has to take time to think maybe it is taking a coffee break before it will take the next sheet and so on every time so it wastes a lot of time
