Pros

This multifunction (mfc) printer is a workhorse. We buy a new cartridge once per year and that's pretty awesome. The toner cost is relatively low especially when compared to ink. The details on the prints are very good.

Cons

Paper roller is broken. Manual feed always prints out sideway. Can't reload to print on the reverse side.

In actuality many of their models have it and the one she told me that did, actually did not. Have to spend time throwing out this lump of *.

I had a quality laser printer, but it didn't have scanning capabilities.

I'm happy to say it's a real workhorse, and we got it at a good price.

For the cost of the machine and supplies, this machine has been a great value.

I purchased this printer in 2013 for $129.

The prices have fluctuated and i've seen it sell for up to $529 here on amazon, today 7-8-2020 its $349.

Shipping

Upon calling tech support for brothers (50 minute wait time) suggested to me that brothers no longer cared if their customers had to wait.

Competitiveness

Works great and better than my old hp.

I settled down with a brothers all in one and also and epson.

It looks like i'll have to replace the whole unit because the parts are very expensive and no guarantee they'll work better.
