Pros & Cons
Pros
The sa177 is great for quicker serging projects in that you already have your machine threaded with the proper color of thread from having been sewing. The secret is the little bar in the front that runs perpendicular to the direction of sewing. It is... Read More
I consider this presser foot to be a must-have in your arsenal of presser feet if you do not have a serger. Brother manufactures babylock machines, so the feet are interchangeable. My son's feet always hang over the foot riser portion when he reclines... Read More
It attaches very easily on my brother se625. After snipping a ‘starter cut/slice’ it really seemed to sew nicely on cotton scraps and even tshirt scraps.
Cons
It is nearly impossible to fit this onto a brother lb-6800, and when you do, it is equally difficult to get it off. The reason it doesn't fit is the needle clamp screw is not long enough to support the arm of the attachment.
It is very unpredictable there, so i no longer use it for items i sell. It is overpriced also. But stretchy fabric, especially more than 1 layer, not at all.
Highlights
Quality

This presser foot with the right stitch and settings will let you sew a beautiful seam while also covering and protecting the e... Read More
To make it stop cutting and just still sew the edge, simply place the fabric below this bar.

Price
This little baby saved me $200 + because i didn’t have to purchase an overlock machine.
Contacted brother and this was a match, they even told me to order from amazon for a much better price, i did and very happy to... Read More
I have a searger now without paying the hefty price
I couldn't afford a serger and thought all the extra steps to get a finished edge were very time consuming, and not that pretty.
Shipping
I wanted to quilt so my desire was a cs6000i, but they don't ship to mexico, so i got a xr3774.
Some day when my ship comes in (without all the relatives) i hope to get a serger to continue my volunteer work, but for now i'... Read More
I try to answer all inquires in a timely fashion to the best of my ability.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging issue didn't effect it and it is a dream!
Haven't used, just got today but the inner package was legit cut open and the presser foot was free floating around the outer envelope.
