Pros

Love the drop in bobbin and automatic needle threader. Self threading feature and the bobbin is quite easy to thread. Theres diagrams all over the machine to help guide you when threading it for sewing or when winding a bobbin.

An old seamstress who started on his mother's treadle machine using leg power, to a straight stitch singer electric, then to an off-brand zig-zag until he treated himself to a pfaff. Great sewing machine for a great price.

Cons

What a hassle. Planned obsolescence at its worst. I am so angry that i just don't even want to keep the darn thing.

The more we sew the worse it gets. The machine gets out of sync with the bobbin and there’s not much a user can do.

The brother xr3774 is not compatible with the brother sa177 side cutter. The only good thing about this machine is that the threader works great.

It threads itself which is very helpful and comes with a variety of feet which was nice.

Only used once so far but it's easy to set up and did great

The self threader is very small and it usually takes about 4 times to get just the smallest amount of thread to come thru.

The only thing i dislike about this machine is that the automatic threader is very difficult to use.

It did not come with an instructional dvd but i was able to find stuff on youtube
