Pros

The item is sturdy and lightweight. I like that it came with a dvd with visual instructions. Follow instructions, an important part of this machine.

Easy needle threading, easy to use bobbin loading, smooth feel when sewing. The automatic needle threader is amazing! Threading the bobbin, oh my is so super easy.

Cons

The machine is very faulty and it's a lemon. I do a great quantity of sewing, and this machine is hopeless.

The automatic threader is difficult to use. Motor overheats and slows down during long seams. After sewing 2 seams it no longer picks up the bobbin thread.

It's hardly worth it to pay several hundred dollars to take the machine in to an authorized dealer for repairs. The closest one i was told by brother support is in another state. This machine is not at all capable of handling projects greater than jus... Read More

I do recommend this machine for heavy work; it's been a champ sewing through 4 layers of upholstery fabric.

My sewing machine broke in the middle of a project.

It sewed several layers of fabric with no difficulty at all.

Price

I’ve bought a suitcase for my machine so it’s easy to carry and i think the price is reasonable.

For the cost it’s worth it not to ruin my expensive machine.

Only drawback is that i’m missing my auto thread cutter, small price to pay to assure the computer isn’t going to go bad!
