It's simplistic enough not to overwhelm, but offers a wide variety of features. I'm a novice at best, but i sew for quality over quantity - and this machine is great quality. It's not as lightweight as it looks, which is a good thing!

    I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter and the directions were very difficult to follow the video instructions that came with it were so fast that we never could get the needle threaded no matter how many times we followed it

    I also dont understand on the box what is meant by it can do bar tack remates as i cant find this feature in the manual which is basic in instructions
